NIT Goa Recruitment 2025 : Qualifications and Experience
Essential Qualifications :
- B.A/B.Sc. (Psychology) with certificate of Diploma in Counselling with minimum of Three-Year Experience in providing counselling to students at Educational Institutes.
OR
- M.A/M.Sc. (Psychology) with minimum of Two-Year Experience in providingcounselling to students at Educational Institutes.
OR
- MBBS with Master’s/Diploma in Psychiatric Medicine, with minimum of One-Year Experience in providing counselling to students at Educational Institutes.
NIT Goa Recruitment 2025 : Job Responsibilities
- To interact with students on their problems.
- Counseling students on personal concerns related to their academics and any other personnel problems. Promoting emotional and mental wellbeing through various educational materials, guest speaker engagements and other activities on subjects.
- Collaborating with teachers, administrative personnel and parents to resolve behavioral or situational concerns to help students succeed
- Working with students to create short- and long-term objectives, particularly those related to academicPerformance, personal development etc.
- Assisting in the mediation and resolution of conflicts to ensure that personal altercations don’t hinder the student’s academic goals and development
- Coming up with counseling programmes such as alcohol and drug prevention programmes and peer mentoring programmes
- Assisting students in selecting courses and other educational options that match their interests and goals
- Providing guidance and education on various professional paths and assisting students in choosing their educational plans
- Any other relevant duties assigned by the Institute for the benefit of the students.

Selected candidate shall be eligible for a consolidated pay of Rs. 40,000/- per month.

- Nature of Appointment : The appointment is purely temporary basis.

- NIT Goa reserves the right to fix suitable screening criteria for shortlisting of eligible candidates
